In Christian belief, God became man, he came to earth as the second Adam. Here he is dressed in Adam's yellow color, as in a hood of gold. Adam is bound and imprisoned, waiting for his release. Eve, in a shade of light blue/purple, takes on the form of Mary in the traditional colors of the Church. Through the Serpent and Eve, sin entered the world, through Mary it would be crushed. Her son would become the Serpent's conqueror, and through his death give mankind forgiveness of sins. Here, Eve/Mary kneels before the Christ figure and gives him her yes. She now becomes pregnant through the Holy Spirit. The serpent's head is to be crushed, but the stab in the heel was Jesus' death on the cross. Blood flows from Mary's heel.
