4. The expulsion

When sin is revealed, Adam and Eve become aware of their nakedness, they are no longer one, they are two, male and female. Now they cover themselves from each other, and God makes them clothes. Hilma dresses Adam in yellow and Eve in blue. On the green road of paradise, the sum of yellow and blue, the God of love leads them out of Eden. In despair they stretch out their hands to him. God's heart is bleeding, his hands and feet are symbolically tied to the cross. At its foot, Eve sits on a cube dressed in the symbolism of the shell. The cube is the Revelation's image for Holy Jerusalem. Already at the beginning of her biblical story, Hilma hints at the end. God now also promises Eve that her seed will one day crush the serpent's head, but the serpent will then stab the seed in the heel. The Church has seen the Bible express Christ's death on the cross followed by his resurrection, the beginning of the end for the serpent and death (Genesis 3:15).
