14. The Spirit - the gift of God
The finale, the very point of the Christian story, is that through Jesus, man would finally share in the Spirit of God, portrayed in the Bible as a dove. The ancient prophets had already said that right and wrong would one day be written in every man's heart. The rules of the Jewish law would cease to apply. Everyone who seeks the way of love will now have an inner Helper, an inner voice. Jesus said to his disciples: " The Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you everything and remind you of everything I have said. In the image, the wounded dove reappears as a reminder that the human journey (yellow/blue) is not without suffering. With God's hand, the spirit within us comes to help and support.
