13. God's sacrificial death

Everything was prepared and foretold by the prophets. God's Spirit would be poured out on mankind and the law of love would be written in the heart of each one. The introduction to Leviticus describes how the burnt offering of a dove, the symbol of the Spirit, was to take place. The priest shall bring the bird to the altar, cut off its head, and burn it on the altar...The priest shall flay the bird without separating the wings from the body. On the leg of the crucified dove hangs the hank and the chin, which for Hilma is also a symbol of woman and man, and the unity of all things in Christ.
